The H-2 project officially commenced in 2017 with the purpose of designing and constructing a 110’ aluminum explorer style powercat named H-2. The boat was designed by John Marples who has designed many sail and power cats beginning in the 1970’s. Geoff Van Gorkom performed the nautical engineering work and Felix Herrin is the construction foreman. H-2 is being constructed in Wanchese, NC in the building built by Buddy Davis which  was also the home of Gunboats. The current goal of the H-2 project is to find someone who wants to take over this great facility and build boats so the talented and dedicated crew that has been assembled can continue working together.
