USSA members joined the NMMA and other industry groups to bring our advocacy issues to the legislators who make a difference. Working together at ABC gives us the opportunity to maximize the strength of our collective expertise of our members to support our industry.
The USSA had a fantastic three days spent spreading the word about #RefitAmerica and the USSA. Big Boats = Big Jobs!
Fifteen (15) USSA members took precious time away from their families and businesses to have our industry’s voices heard.
With the new Congress elected last year, there was much work to be done to educate the freshmen legislators about the significant impact our segment of the industry has on our economy. Our team hit the ground running and did dozens of meetings with members and aides in both the House and Senate.
Most importantly, we had the opportunity to personally thank Congressman Rob Bishop (R-Utah) for his role in passing the language for the first large yacht registry in the United States last year and presented him with the USSA Chairman’s Award that was announced during our Annual Meeting.
Advocacy is the prime mission of the U.S. Superyacht Association and working together at events like ABC gives us the opportunity to maximize the strength of our collective expertise of our members to support our industry.
We would like to thank the #NMMA and the other co-hosts who made this year’s ABC the best one ever!
