The US Superyacht Association Pavilion once again proved the perfect showcase for the Association’s presence at the Palm Beach International Boat Show, featuring eleven member exhibitors along the North end of the venue. The USSA lounge was reformatted and more spacious this year, serving as a “home base” hot spot which afforded many members the opportunity to drop by and catch up on emails between meetings, rendezvous with clients and prospects, and network with each other throughout the day.
In the evenings, members were able to connect and network at two private social events sponsored by Blue Water Desalination, Braemar Yacht Services, Cape Charles Yacht Center, Oceanmax International LTD and Pettit Marine Paint. Despite a torrential downpour that began at the same time as the networking event on Thursday evening, members and staff buttoned up the main tent and made the most of the intimate setting to enjoy hors d’oeuvres, cocktails and networking in the main tent while they waited for the storm to pass. The following day could not have been more beautiful and offered the perfect weather for a fun-filled Friday night Paella Party attended by over 100 members and friends. The evening’s festivities were highlighted by a special presentation by the USSA Board of Directors during which they honored Kitty McGowan with the prestigious title of USSA President.
